Our history

LI Coal Cleal Coal Gasification’s core business is coal exploration, development, production and coal trade.
Our focus areas its 100% thermal and anthracite coal in South Africa for the local market and export. It has established very strong relationship with end users in India and China.

We currently drill for more coal in various sites in Mpumalanga. Our Company has forged strategic JV partnership with Johannesburg Stock Exchange and London listed trading companies to supply them with both thermal and anthracite coal which we will be mining in South Africa.

LI COAL Resources: We export RB3 coal specs through Richard’s Bay MPT and RBCTQ. We also export A grade sized coal both small nuts and large nuts through Durban. Our company has access to coal sidings in Mpumalanga which are export oriented. We also have the ability to export various sized thermal coal and anthracite.

LI COAL Resources has an account with TFR to export coal from various ports with the inclusion of RBCTQ. Our company has access to wagons from Transnet from time to time when we need to export coal to our clients , though currently we rely on trucking to the port, in particular MPT, due to Transnet challenges with locomotives.
